The annual workshop, a companion
to a similar ASCAP workshop given in Los Angeles in partnership
with the Walt Disney Company, has been held for 17 years and is
currently under the direction of Academy award-winning composer
and lyricist Stephen Schwartz (Pippin, Godspell, The Baker's
Wife, Children of Eden, Pocahontas, The Hunchback of Notre Dame,
The Prince of Egypt), who for many years in many different ways
has given generously of his experience and talent to help nurture
new artists and new projects.
