Jim Bauer and Ruth Bauer have been awarded a $12,500 grant by
the JONATHAN LARSON PERFORMING
ARTS FOUNDATION to continue development work on The Blue
Flower. More information about the grant award is available

TAX DEDUCTIBLE DONATIONS
As a sponsored project of
THE NEW YORK FOUNDATION FOR THE ARTS
(contact and additional information below), The
Blue Flower is eligible to receive tax-deductible
donations from individuals, corporations, public and private
foundations and government agencies.
Any contributions of cash,
securities, or materials made to the Foundation on behalf of The
Blue Flower are tax deductible to the full extent
allowed by law.
HOW TO MAKE
A DONATION
To qualify for a tax deduction:
all grants, loans, and other contributions should be made payable
to THE NEW YORK FOUNDATION FOR THE ARTS,
and accompanied by a cover letter specifying that the gift is
in support of THE BLUE FLOWER PROJECT
. The letter should including any information about the purpose
or restrictions, if any, of the grant [sample
cover letter.pdf]. Checks should
be mailed directly to the Foundation at the address provided below.
For your tax records you will receive a letter from the Foundation
documenting and confirming your gift.
MATCHING GIFT PROGRAMS
In almost all cases, gifts
you make to The
Blue Flower through
the Foundation will qualify for matching gift programs provided
by employers. The Foundation will provide employers with all necessary
information to process a matching gift.
ACCOUNTING
NYFA maintains a separate
project account for The Blue Flower
and provides all necessary bookkeeping and tax-reporting services
for the project, including financial accounting and reporting
for donors.
ABOUT
NYFA
The New
York Foundation for the Arts (NYFA)
is a public foundation established by the New York Council on
the Arts in 1971. The Foundation's broad purpose is to work with
the arts community throughout New York State to develop and facilitate
programs in all disciplines.
The Foundation is a 501(c)(3)
corporation and under Internal Revenue Service regulations it
qualifies as tax-exempt.
